Hello from Matt…

Welcome to the autumn edition of My Great Place magazine. As usual, this issue is packed full of news, stories and information about what’s going on across our communities and our business.

The weather is turning colder now we’re into autumn, which means it becomes harder to keep on top of moisture levels in your home. Our article on pages 4 and 5 is full of tips to help you manage this and tells you how we can continue to work together to keep damp and mould at bay.

Understanding our customers and their wide-ranging needs is essential when it comes to providing great and inclusive services. With this in mind we’re launching our You Share, We Shape campaign this Autumn. Find out more about this, including how you could be in with a chance of winning £100 of vouchers if you take part, on page 7.

We’ll soon be launching our new Customer Committee, and we will be looking for people to get involved. This is a really exciting opportunity - find out more on page 8.

Our regional news round-ups (pages 10-15) cover all the key stories from across our communities, including how we’ve donated £11,000 to Blackburn’s Billy Project for vulnerable women and helped Knutsford children get a taste of working life with their pop-up restaurant. You can also read the heart-warming story of Tulloch Court customers Mollie and Stephen, who found love at our Tulloch Court Chit Chat Café.

In amongst all this you’ll find useful information on how we’re performing for you, including a spotlight on complaints, an update on our Customer Hub and many examples of how we’re using customer comments and feedback to make improvements to our offer.

Whether you’d like some money advice or need to know more about booking a repair, hopefully you’ll find plenty of valuable tips.

In the last edition of My Great Place we told you that we had entered into talks about a possible merger with another Manchester-based housing association, Mosscare St Vincent’s (MSV). We’ve recently shared the news that these discussions have ended, and that we will continue to work as partners rather than as one organisation. You can find out more on our website, but if you have any queries on this, or anything else you read in the magazine, please get in touch via the usual ways.

All the best,

Matt Harrison

Chief Executive
