Staying vigilant

We have become aware of customers being cold called from people claiming to be from Great Places or saying they are from a generic organisation dealing with housing disrepair claims, asking about things like repairs and damp, mould and condensation inspections.
Please be aware that these callers are often looking to generate disrepair claims and earn fees for every one that they pass on. Great Places colleagues will always give you our name and department when we call you and if it is a face-to-face visit, we will always show our Great Places ID badge. If someone knocks at your door claiming to be from our organisation but cannot show a valid ID, please don’t let them in.
Similarly, our colleagues wouldn't call you out of the blue about a repair issue unless you had already raised a concern with us or told us about it. If you need to let us know about any repairs that need carrying out in your home, please raise it with us straight away via our Customer Hub or on the MyPlace portal, which can be accessed via our website.
