Best of the fest at Wy-fest
The summer ended on a high in Wybourn, as local employability programme ‘Wybourn Works’ hosted a community festival to celebrate all the great things the project has achieved so far.

‘Wybourn Works’ has gone from strength to strength since it began in 2024. Run by a fantastic team of Employability Coaches, Community Champions and volunteers, the programme helps local people into jobs, training or volunteering.
Now in its second year, 122 Wybourn residents have joined the programme, with 67 signing onto further courses and 34 finding work!
To celebrate this, 400 residents attended the Wybourn Community Primary School on 29 August for fun, games, free ice cream, and even a visit from local councillor Laura Moynahan.
It was a brilliant way to bring the community together and mark the programme’s success. To read more about the day, simply visit our website.
