Fire Safety Matters
Your safety is a key priority. Particularly when it comes to Fire Safety. Our Building Safety team is actively implementing a £2+ million safety enhancement programme for our homes.
This includes replacing flat entrance doors and installing smoke and fire detection systems. We’re also addressing changes in Building and Fire Safety regulations following the Grenfell tragedy. This includes registering all our high-rise buildings with the Building Safety Regulator and introducing additional safety measures across all existing homes.
As part of these new regulations, we’ve recently communicated evacuation arrangements to customers in our apartment blocks. Additionally, we’ve provided general advice on reducing fire risk within their own homes.
Recent incidents in housing association homes across the country underscore the importance of fire safety. Electrical faults related to unsafe charging equipment (including e-scooters) can lead to fires. The impact on residents cannot be underestimated and the graphic on this page includes some simple tips you can take to keep you and your family safe.
