Putting customers first: Insight Scrutiny Group update
Over the past year, the Insight Customer Scrutiny Group has been reviewing how our services work for customers.
They share their findings with the Great Places Board, highlighting what’s working well and where improvements can be made. Their work is based on real customer feedback, helping shape services from a customer point of view. The group recently focused on two areas:
1. Anti-social behaviour (ASB), looking at how we can make reporting concerns clearer and more supportive from the start.
2. Customer communication, reviewing how we keep customers informed when work is taking place in their home.
From their review, their recommendations included:
- Engage earlier with customers and gather key details early to help plan better.
- Keep customers informed throughout with clear updates at every stage.
- Carry out handover checks with customers to make sure expectations are met.
