Working together to keep our communities safe
Everyone deserves to feel safe and comfortable at home. That’s why we take anti-social behaviour (ASB) seriously and work closely with partners to put things right.
ASB can cause stress and make people feel unsafe, especially when problems continue over long periods of time. We encourage customers to report concerns early so we can step in and look for solutions. Where we can, we will always work with people to help them change their behaviour. However, when issues continue to affect others, we will take firm action to protect the wider community.
After customers shared concerns about ongoing noise and ASB in one of our neighbourhoods, our local teams took time to listen and understand how this was affecting the community. We worked closely with those impacted, alongside our partners in Environmental Health, to gather evidence and build a clear picture of the situation.
Support and clear expectations were put in place with the customer responsible to try to resolve the issue. Despite this, their behaviour continued and so our Neighbourhood and Housing and Enforcement teams carefully reviewed the case and decided to take legal action to protect the wider community. Following court hearings, a possession order was granted, and the eviction took place in February 2026.
Eviction is always a last resort. In this case, it was the only way to bring a long-running issue to an end and help restore peace for the wider community. Importantly, it would not have been possible without the patience and cooperation of fellow customers.
If you’re experiencing anti-social behaviour, please report it to us. Some cases take time, and your reports help us build a clear picture and keep communities safe.
