Grounds Maintenance

Our Grounds Maintenance Team works hard all year-round to keep customers’ shared outdoor spaces clean, neat and orderly.

The work changes throughout the year. You’ll have noticed our teams visit less often during the colder months but prepare for the growing season (typically from April to October) by completing jobs such as clearing leaves, hard pruning, bed clearances and bark mulching where appropriate.

With us now being in the growing season for 2024, you’ll have noticed teams visiting more frequently, as we start the process of grass cutting on a fortnightly basis. The start of the growing season is when most activity happens and when seedlings, plants and the grass start to benefit from more daylight and warmer weather. However, do remember that activity is weather dependent - particularly at the start and end of growing season and in any extreme hot weather. While visits will still be carried out, teams’ tasks may change according to weather conditions at the time.

Remember you can find a full calendar of the Grounds Maintenance services as well as further information on our web page.

A new Customer Experience Strategy

A message from our Director of Customer Experience, Rachel Mills on our Customer Experience Strategy Consultation.

“Back in April we asked customers to get involved and help us identify what is important to you when you deal with Great Places, in order to help us write our new Customer Experience Strategy.

We’d like to say thank you to everyone who took the time to share their views, we really appreciate your input. We are reviewing all of your feedback and will post updates on the dedicated Our Voice page which you can access by visiting www.greatplaces.org.uk/customersfirst
