Window cleaning
Crystal clear commitment: Great Places’ new communal window cleaning service and dedicated web page

Our Facilities and Estates Management Team provides window cleaning services with approved contractors at some Great Places properties; this includes cottage flats, bungalows and buildings with communal areas.
Last summer we conducted a customer survey to understand your views and what is important to you. Your feedback has told us what you expect from our window cleaners and your comments helped us shape questions for potential new contractors as we looked to undertake a significant procurement of the window cleaning services. Thanks to your feedback, we’ve made improvements to the window cleaning service, focusing on transparency, value for money and consistent quality.
At the time we had 10 window cleaning contractors providing a service to as few as 14 homes, and as many as 2,000 homes each. From April this year, our new contracts with three window cleaning contractors mean that we are better able to monitor how well contractors are doing, and to be able to challenge contractors where customers are not receiving the service they pay for.
We’ve also launched a dedicated Window Cleaning page on our website. Here you’ll find all the key information you need to know about the service as well as answers to frequently asked questions. You can also use the contact form on the page to get in touch directly with the Facilities and Estate Management Team if you need to report an issue.
Over the summer, our Customer Involvement Team will be checking in with some of the customers who receive a window cleaning service from us to find out what you think of the standard of the new window cleaning offer where you live. This will help us to manage these contracts and deal quickly with any issues you raise with us.
