Customer Spotlight - Employment and Skills support
Since October, Insight has been busy scrutinising Great Places Employability and Skills support offer, a service that assists customers to progress into employment, and training or volunteering.
Insight set out to find out what customers had to say about the quality of support, and to ask whether it had assisted to make a positive difference. Insight learnt customers’ felt extremely positive about the service, commenting that support had made a real difference, here are examples of customers’ feedback:
- “I received helped to write a great CV – the coaches encouragement helped me believe I could do it, because of the support, I felt more confident when applying for jobs.”
- “I had my first interview, and I got a job in home care.”
- “I am kept up to date on job vacancies and receive support with applications.”
- “I received support with education and transport to get to college.”
- “Coaching has helped to rebuild my confidence to put myself out there and explore options, before I would have been scared, but now I believe I can achieve these things.”

Here are some of the ways you can help support scrutiny:
- Attend meetings with other scrutiny members.
