Hello from Matt…

Welcome to the latest edition of My Great Place magazine! This issue contains all the latest news from Great Places, so you can keep up to speed on our services and performance, as well as getting updates from customers and communities.

Since the last issue we have launched recruitment for our new Customer Committee, which will hold Great Places to account on the things that really matter to you. We advertised for members in November and had a fantastic response; thank you to everyone who applied! Find out more.

In both our ongoing communication surveys and our recent Insight scrutiny group review, customers told us they wanted to hear more news and stories from their own geographical areas. With that in mind you’ll notice that we now have dedicated pages which contain regional updates from closer to home.

You can let us know what you think of our new regional sections, or if you have any suggestions for future magazines and updates, via the survey click here. You can also join our Digital Readers’ Group and share thoughts on our content before it’s published widely – find out more on the Get Involved section of our website.

Knowing and understanding our customers is really important to us, so we can shape our services around your unique needs. Read about how you can join our You Share, We Shape campaign; and if you take part, you will also be entered into our monthly prize draw to win £100 in vouchers.

Keeping customers safe is also a top priority for Great Places. Find out how we’ve used your feedback to inform our new approach to tackling anti-social behaviour, while on the building safety front, learn how we’re delivering a £2+million programme for safety enhancements to your homes click here.

Social housing rents change across the country every April, and by the end of February you should have received your booklet explaining what this means for you. There’s more on this in the article but when your booklet lands, please take time to read the content and get in touch with us if you have any unanswered questions or concerns.

As well as all this, in this jam-packed issue you’ll find money advice and tips, the lowdown on our new caretaking service and much more.

I hope you enjoy it.
