Claiming Universal Credit? Know what’s changing

If you are claiming Universal Credit here are the main changes:

The £20 increase in Universal Credit ended in October and if you’re finding it difficult to pay your rent please get in touch with your Neighbourhood Services Manager.

Universal Credit is paid monthly, on the same day. The easiest way to make sure your rent is paid on time each month is to set up a direct debit. You can do this on Live Chat via Chatabot at greatplaces.org.uk.

During the pandemic if you were receiving working tax credit then you did not have to tell DWP about any temporary reductions in your working hours. This has now changed and you must tell DWP of any changes as soon as possible.
