Great changes are coming to our Grounds Maintenance Service

As mentioned in our customer voice article on page 5, following your feedback we’ve reviewed our Grounds Maintenance Service and decided to bring this in-house as of November.

Below we look to explain some of key changes and what you can expect to see in the next few months.

So what does an in-house service mean for you?

Our aim is to create great environments for our customers. We believe that by directly employing our own grounds maintenance operatives, we can deliver a higher quality service at no extra cost.

Initially the frequency of visits will remain the same. However, you will quickly see changes to the work undertaken as we start to tackle areas on schemes which require improvement.

Some former Greenfingers colleagues have been employed via Great Places as part of the Transfer of Undertakings and Protection of Employment Regulations 2006 (TUPE), so you may still see some familiar faces around your schemes.

What happens next?

There will be no change to your current grounds maintenance charge for the remainder of this financial year. It is anticipated that any future cost increases will be linked to inflation only, please be assured that ensuring services are value for money is our number one priority.

We are currently working on a new grounds maintenance specification and rotas for the teams. This will be made available via our Great Places website and also on notice boards.

Delivering an excellent service is important to us, so we will be regularly asking for your feedback to make sure we are getting things right.
