Hello and welcome to the spring edition of My Great Place.

It’s been a challenging start to the year, with cost-of-living increases and fuel prices being a large part of the issues that many households are struggling with.

At Great Places we are aiming to do what we can to support our customers and within this newsletter we have contacts, advice and help.

For Great Places Housing Group our year has begun by officially becoming one business. Bringing all of our teams, systems and processes together following a merger with the former Equity Housing. We carried out this merger to help improve our services as a business, and over the coming months and years you will start to see these benefits.

A key improvement we are looking to launch shortly is our online customer portal, called MyPlace.

This will allow you to manage key aspects of your tenancy yourself, online, at any time. As we work towards implementing a large amount of changes online, you may have experienced issues with our portal so we thank you for your patience and can assure you that in the near future, you’ll have a much better online service than ever before – so watch this space!

If you have tried to call us and experienced longer than normal waiting times then please accept our apologies as we are trying to help our customers the best way we can whilst embedding a new system.

But rest assured we are working hard to iron out any initial teething problems to improve our offer to you.

In these pages, we have lots of useful articles that provide advice and help as we deal with an ever-rising cost of living and massively-increased fuel bills.

For those people who are experiencing issues with their rent, please turn to page six. There’s also advice on how to save energy and therefore money as well as help with other issues.

You will also be able to read about our development work across the North West and South Yorkshire on page seven as we continue to build fantastic homes across a range of tenures.

Our investment programme for the new financial year is already in gear – which includes the fantastic work we have done at Bowland House in Blackburn. Find out what we have been doing here.
