Are you interested in climate change?

When it comes to environmental issues and climate change, Great Places is committed to becoming a net-zero carbon business by 2038.

The Group is the first housing association in the UK to be granted Platinum Carbon Literate Organisation status by the environmental charity, the Carbon Literacy Trust.

As part of our commitment with this cause we are proud to have been one of the first organisations to roll out the Carbon Literacy Training.

This course is being delivered to a range of other businesses from Manchester City Council to Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and it’s now a requirement for all our colleagues.

Carbon Literacy is an internationally recognised climate change awareness and action-based training qualification. To date, over 35,000 individuals have been certified from over 3,000 organisations, across 17 countries. Now we are looking to extend this training to our customers.

If you’re passionate about climate change and would like to get involved we’d like to hear from you.

Email carbonliteracy@greatplaces.org.uk in the first instance and we’ll get back in touch.
