Don't trick or treat yourself into trouble this Hallowe'en

With Hallowe’en nearly upon us we want to make sure you keep yourself and your family safe.

Here you can find some advice to have fun while respecting each other:

  • Remember not everyone will want to take part in your Hallowe’en events or trick or treating. Please be considerate.
  • Only knock on doors displaying Hallowe’en decorations.
  • If you have children, provide highly visible costumes with bright colours or reflective parts to so that your child can be easily seen in the dark.
  • Be considerate of older vulnerable people who may become concerned by the noise.
  • It might seem like harmless fun but throwing eggs or flour on Hallowe’en, or scaring others, could land you in serious trouble.

You can report anti-social behaviour on our website at www.greatplaces.org.uk/customers/anti-socialbehaviour/ or by using Chatabot.

If you want to report an incident or crime that is not an emergency call 101. In an emergency when someone is injured, being threatened or in danger always call 999.
